Current one is bronze over gold, the last was black over gold. Previous were school bus yellow, green and baby poo tan. All were bought because that's what the dealer had with what I needed to haul an RV. If I had my druthers, they all would be red just like the DWs DD, a Ford Escape. Had a white Toyota SR5 toy p/u, but that's not a real truck and was only an interim vehicle for daily transportation

Hmmm …. I’m thinking, so here’s the color of trucks I’ve owned:

1928 Ford Roadster Pickup - sorta green and black originally, then some surface rust by the time I got it when it was about 35ish years old

1954 Ford F100 - gray by the time I got it when it was about 20ish years old

1968 Ford F100 - sorta red, but faded by the time I got it when it was about 10ish years old

1985 Toyota SR5 4x4 - white, new!

1992 Toyota 4x4 - white, new!

1998 Toyota 4x4 - silver, new!

2004 Toyota PreRunner - silver, lightly used eBay purchase

So what does all of that say about me? I have fairly calmly liked Ford and Toyota pickups, I guess, but at times have felt rusty and faded. Don’t own any now Have been thinking about the new Maverick.

The two Broncos I’ve owned were blue (1970) and black (1976). Sorta like a pickup ….

My first truck had brush-applied pink housepaint.

What it said about me was "this boy has no money."

(But it was fast!)

Interesting thread (& reminded me I need to renew my truck's wax job).

The last three vehicles I've owned are all white. Ford Expedition, Nissan Titan, RAM 1500. I keep them clean. Even with some age on them they continue to look good.

Before 1st car were numerous Dirt Bikes 50CC to 400CC

1st car was a 1968 'Red' Fiat 850....little box that I was hell on wheels with
2nd car was a 1968 'White' Dodge Cornet 440....that was a real problem
3rd was a 1972 'Gold' Ford Mustang 351 Cleveland,,,,another problem
4th was a 1978 'Brown' Ford E350 Chateau Van........Lots of fun/college
5th was a 1967 'Faded Green' International Scout....another great off road/hunting vehicle
6th was a 1973 'White' Dodge Pickup truck....hated that truck
7th was a 1976 'Blue/White' Ford F250/460.....great for hunting/camping
8th was a 1972 'Baby Poop Yellow' Ford Bronco.....that one scared me/heavily modded
9th was a 1978 'Black' Ford Bronco.....great all around Vehicle
10th was a 1980 'Red' Toyota Corolla.....ran like a Swiss Watch/330K
11th was a 1995 'White' Ford Ranger.....great commuter vehicle
12th was a 2001 'Forest Green' Ford F150 7700....best truck I ever owned
13th and last is a 2007 'Inferno Red' Dodge Ram 3500...second best truck

In between ALL of the trucks/cars were many motorcycles
1972 Red Suzuki 550, 1968 Orange Harley 883 Sportster, 1978 Black Yamaha XS 1100, 1985 Ameryst Yamaha V-Max, 2001 Orange Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 'Mean Street'

My vehicle are picked on price. My wife wanted this green truck so bad. But the rear locker and extra airbags meant another silver vehicle in the driveway. Since we’ve been together our colors silver - 4, white- 3, gold/brown - 2, black - 1, and a red F150. Just realized we had 11 vehicles in 25 years.

If the color is important to the driver I think it may say something about them. For the rest of us that really don't give much thought to the color I don't think it says anything. However jacked up, through the bed exhaust stacks, aftermarket wheels says I need to keep this guy in front of me so I can see when he does something stupid, and he will. I guess I'm getting old and crotchety.

Sounds like me. My truck is dark grey because that's what I found and liked. I'm not too particular.

My previous truck was tan, and I had it for 18 years. I'd still have it except it was too small for the trailer we'd just bought.

I told the salesman, "I don't care what color it is as long as it's not black or white". I ended up with a black truck.
A few years later I told the salesman, "I don't care what color it is as long as it's not black or white". I ended up with a white truck.
Black sure looks good when it's clean but will drive you nuts if you like to keep it clean. White and silver don't bother me so much when dirty.
