I suggest it depends on the moment:

Darling - "Honey, I just bought you that new GPS you wanted"
Darn - "I know I have the map; you were supposed to turn back there"
Difficult - "When I wave my left hand in the mirror, you're supposed to turn right"
Delightful - "You want a Bloody Mary?"
Delicious - "What do you think of my new dress?"
Dependent - "Can you kill that spider in the bathroom?"
Determined - "We are NOT watching Terminator reruns."
Demanding - "You are taking me to the movies this afternoon"
Defiant - "No, you can't buy that 80" LED TV"
Daring - "You want me to drive?"
Dazzling - "Honey, want to see my new pearls? That's all I'm wearing."
Deducing - "Did you drink the last cup of coffee?"
Dead - that's me if she reads this...

This is the best explanation I've heard yet Bud. Let me just add one more...

Desperate - "Honey, I forgot my towel when I got in the shower. Would you please get me one.?"

Bud, that works too. It just lacks the potential for a little hanky-panky.

Being married for ne'er on 100 years, hanky-panky is eating the last piece of pie without telling her
