Ever tried to contact Amazon?

We received a shipment that was supposed to contain 10 items yesterday. One item was missing. They show that it was shipped. I have searched their site trying to find some way to contact them that the item was missing. There is not phone numbers, not e-mail address, no NOTHING!

I have sent a message to the seller. Hopefully I can get some results from them. It's VERY FRUSTRATING!

Hey Joe (and Annette)-

I called Amazon for the first time last week. I also found no info on their site. A Google search brought up this number: (888) 280-4331. I called, got a human, and she was very helpful. They didn't even act as if it was unusual for people to be calling them!

If Amazon was not the seller they can't help you anyways. You will have to contact the seller.
But here is Amazons number. 888-280-4331

I Disagree,
I ordered a new hot water heater for my coach a year or so ago. The order was lost in transit (A UPS thing but we won't go there). After chasing around with UPS, I called Amazon. The fellow I spoke to immediately stated that this was unacceptable and made arrangements to have another heater shipped Priority. He also applied a 20% discount to my account and said if the first one should ever show up, I should keep it and use it as I saw fit.
Amazon was not the original seller in this instance but they sure did step up to the plate.

You are right, they make it nearly impossible to contact them directly. However, contacting the seller has usually solved the problem quickly.

In my case, it was easier to contact Amazon than UPS.

They have a system on their website that will actually call you about your problem and connect you to a person. Works very well, when you can find it...it is very hidden somewhere in your account area.

I have an Amazon Prime account, and have purchased many, many (literally hundreds) of items for my work (technology) and personal items from Amazon, and have never had trouble returning an item or getting a replacement sent for an item. Try contacting the seller directly, and if they don't respond right away (within 24 hours), try Googling "Amazon Chat", and see if you can chat with an Amazon rep. They have been MOST helpful to me in strange cases. Have replaced items and given me a partial credit, in fact. Good luck!

I have dealt with them for years with very few problems. There is a tab at the bottom of their page: Contact Us

Answer a question and the next screen pops up. Answer two or three questions about you subject and you get three options:

They will call you within one minute ( always just seconds )

Email your question

Or start a chat session.

The only trouble I ever had was concerning "subscribe and save" I got a third world call center. The attendants just didn't understand how that program worked.

I agree with the others, no issue contacting them either using the call back option, or through online chat. On the other hand the number of shipping and item mistakes I have experienced from Amazon within the last month or two is getting ridiculous, like ordering a 10 pack of marker light sockets and receiving a 2 pack, or receiving a well sealed empty box, well not exactly empty it did have some of those bags of air they love to ship so much.

now that's a first! We also have had a ridiculous amount of mistakes in the last few months. For the last year and a half the shippers UPS and FedEx well and even the post office I've been dropping my packages all over town. Seems the more expensive the item is the more likely they will have left it at the farther end of town.
