Welcome to the group. I'm not a fan of extended warranties so I can not help you with that.

those policies are not true warranties. they're insurance policies with lots and lots of exclusions and gotchas. a lot of letters in the RV mags are devoted to people with complaints about these companies.
we chose to take the $ we would've spent and used it to start a maintenance & repair fund. to that we added $X each month. something to consider.

Having bought, and used an Extended Service Contract (they are not by law a warranty) for our 2000 Winnebago that had been parked in a storage barn for 8 years, I will say IMO is it a good option unless you already have adequate monies set aside for major repairs.
Specifics, NEVER buy an inclusionary contract ie: it states what IS covered. Can you name everything that would not be covered? I sure can't.
Buy an exclusionary contract which states what is NOT covered, by omission everything else IS covered.
Also purchase the gaskets and seals rider, otherwise, say an engine, transmission, differential gasket/seal fails, causing loss of oil= consequential damage is not covered without the rider.
Our ESC paid for itself, including deductibles over the 3 yr life of the contract. Had something catastrophic happened, like the irv2 member who paid tens of thousands for a blown diesel engine, we would could not have afforded to have it repaired.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
I've never been a fan of extended warranties. Those are a huge money-maker for RV dealers. I think, in most cases, you are better off putting that same amount of money into a special bank account to be used only for repairs. JMHO
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Even after paying many $1000's for a blown ISX I'm not a fan of a service policy. Too many ways for the company to weasle out of paying.

I use Coach-Net. Call direct for a quote not through a dealer. Very happy with them.

Don't buy from a dealer or you'll really take it in the shorts. Shop around, get prices, then haggle with them when you know what others are charging. I ended up going with Wholesale Warranties after they undercut all the others. The salesmen work on commission, so they have wiggle room. In our 6yrs. of fulltiming I had to use them 4 times. Once in White Horse, Yukon Terr., and they took care of everything without any hesitation. But there are others who I'm sure are just as good. You just have to do your homework.
