FBI Spam

I get a lot of spam and I'm sure everyone else does too, but this is the first time I've ever received an email spam from the FBI

Has anyone ever received a spam from the FBI stating they have a warrant for your arrest?

Thanks,

Ron

Nope, can't say that I have, but that sounds like some sort of scam in play.

That isn't spam, but either phishing or a virus. Delete it without opening it. Neither the FBI nor the IRS send out e-mails. For some reason the bad guys out there have been extremely active the last few weeks. I have gotten all kinds of weird e-mails the last several weeks. One I posted about a few weeks ago that said it was from "stub hub" and that my tickets for a Padres game were being charged to my credit card. It was a pure scam and meant to create harm.

Be careful out there in Cyber Land. There are some very bad folks lurking in the bushes!

I went to the FBI's website and it looks like that spam was started back in 08. I have gotten all kinds of spam but that is a first for me from the FBI.

I forwarded it to the link the FBI suggested for it's investigation.

not a warning email

They'll land in their black helicopters on your lawn and wisk you away. Unless, of course, you wear your tinfoil hat. Then they can't control your thoughts with their mind-control satellites.

Now... I'm off to dust my stockpile.

Note to any real FBI monitoring this forum, I don't really have a stockpile.

Do you have direction on making one of those? I don't have one and I better make one quick before that helicopter lands

I have gotten E-mails which appeared to be from the FBI, (And which were sent to the FBI in a foreward) but when I viewed the full header (envelope and routing info) It was NOT from the FBI.

People will try all sorts of tricks to get you to give them your personal info so they can ID thieve. Put the Byte on crime, mark it spam and delete it.

I get about 4 of 'em a day on one of my email accounts. Google, fortunately, directs to the appropriate "SPAM" folder for deletion.

A really neat trick when THEY are beaming thoughts into your head or listening to your thoughts is to make a chain of paper clips, attach it to your belt/pants/skirt so that it touches the floor. That will ground you so they can't hear or beam thoughts in your head. Better than a tin foil hat. This works for your whole body.

Received a couple of them and I sent them to the garbage file. No one has showed up on my door step to arrest me yet.
