So the dealer was great. They took the car back and helped us find a 2012 Honda CR-V AWD automatic that can be towed. Groove Subaru in englewood Colorado.

A relief for sure. Even saved money with a lower price and better interest rate.

No one pee on my parade Curb weight shows about 3600lbs hope that is right.

Luckily we got it in writing on Honda letterhead that our '05 Ody was towable four down. After some "discussion" involving WA, OR and CA's AG's offices they paid us $2,200 to pay for the towbar brackets and braking system. I used the money to buy a KK-460 dolly.
We got lucky by getting it in writing, the legal department wasn't too happy when I sent them a copy of the letter!

Oh well I'm sure from my experiences that the finance people are very concerned about facts and the truth. NOT!

I have to agree. However, the dealership people seemed to be unaware that 2016 and newer can't be towed and older voids warranty's if towed 4 down now. They really were great to work with and took it back no problem. We did buy another car from them though so that might have helped.

Regarding Owner's Manuals being changed: a few years ago GM said in the manual that the Chevy Cruz could be flat towed. Sometime later in the model year they changed their mind. They had to buy back a bunch of cars from unhappy motorhome owners who had purchased the car specifically to tow.
