Found some propane on a Sunday

Got stuck on a Sunday in the Deep South (Mobile, AL) and needed some propane. Being the South and Sunday, nothing (and I mean nothing!) was open to fill my 30 lb. tanks. But then I found out that UHaul had propane and was open. The UHaul was a corporate store (or at least a store with only UHaul stuff), and not a gas station that has UHaul on the side.

I just got back to Texas and drove by a self service propane place in Louisiana, I did not stop but I find it hard to believe that I could have filled them on my own as I thought you had to be certified....

Hope this helps if you get jammed like I did.

Bill

Tractor Supply is open on Sunday, and there are several of those around the Mobile area. Also, many RV parks sell propane.

Almost every convenience store around has 20 lb cylinder exchanges. They will also sell you the cylinder if you want. Lot of small towns in the South roll up their sidewalks on Sundays.
