Gen restart after 10yrs

Put my 2500 honda gen away over 10yrs ago with new oil and bone dry fuel syst. sat on self in shop and never used. So power goes out in large storm and we need power. Pull gen off shelf and filled with gas pulled rope 2 times and the little Honda fires to life and then ran for 72 hr nonstop running 1 deep freeze and 2 large refers. You have to love the Hondas. So will dry fuel syst.out today put in new oil and put back on her shelf tell needed next time, Just gen info. Best new year to all.

Not hard for me to believe. I've got a Honda EM600 that is about 34 years old, its never been used for much and I try to remember to start it up and run some gas through it every year (or two), still works like new.
