Going No Where This Week

Had the four grandkids ages 13-3 Thursday till Tuesday night. About wore us out.

We keep the boys 13 and 10 every other Friday till Saturday evening so we thought we would get the motorhome and have them load it so we could take off after they go to their dad's on Saturday. That plan went to hell-in-a-basket when yesterday we discovered water under the dishwasher.

Took way to long pull dishwasher, I remembered saying to myself when I installed it "Hope I don't have to ever pull that SOB." Been spending today venting the cabinets and cutting out underlayment. It has obviously been a s-l-o-w leak for sometime, mold and soaked particleboard for six feet in either direction. Got fans and a dehumidifier running. Little more left to cut out but too tired to do more.

Of course insurance is useless, the clause about maintenance and yada yada. Like I'm suppose to pull the dishwasher and look for leaks every 100 cycles.

The bright side of this is SWMBO has wanted to replace the floor for awhile. And we decided to go to the local watering hole for dinner and I had an Old Rasputin Stout. https://northcoastbrewing.com/beers/...ut/?ao_confirm One to make me happy, two makes me dance on the table and the third puts me under the table. DW cuts me off at one

So much for the travel budget this summer.

Had a dishwasher that was leaking in one of our rental houses when the tenet moved out. Called him and asked when it started leaking...his reply....never used it in two years.

Found out you have to use them on a regular basis or the seals dry out.

But wait, there's more.

Well we got the wet flooring up down to the sub floor for about six feet from the dishwsher and looks good. All the soaked and moldy particleboard cut out. Dehumidifier and fans running and moisture levels showing good.

We were debating on what to do, DD needed a baby sitter, DW stressed out, I'm pooped. We decided to grab a few groceries and head out to casino for a couple of days then maybe babysit if we felt like it.

Got to the storage lot and I'm doing the outside thing and DW is yelling and cussing. Seems as in the past two weeks several mice moved in, I have never seen so many turds in my life. Reefer was propped open and more turds. Cleaned it out and fired it up, stuck our groceries in it and took MH home to finish cleaning. Spent about six hours on that mess. Got showered and took off about 1800 hours.

Bad luck in threes. DW said first was the plugged VacuFlush, then the flood, now the pestilence. Looks like we survived.

Every black spec looks like a mouse turd.

Next adventure.

If it wasn't for bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all.
