No, here in Columbus, MS. The Oral Surgeon will put me to sleep and do all the extractions today and I will wait 4-6 weeks for my gums to heal before getting the dentures.

Hope all went well and you’re now recovering without much discomfort. Know that you’re glad the ordeal is now over and thinking about where you will spend all that money from the tooth fairy.

X2. Remember, Steak N Shake has half price milkshakes 2-5P every day & Sonic has the same plus half price soft serve ice cream slushes after 8P. This procedure authorizes you to have as many of them as you want.

WOW! I'm amazed! I'm not officially toothless! The surgery went well and I have been pretty much pain-free except for immediately afterwards in the recovery room. They gave me 10mg Percoset that I take every 8 hours and that has totally controlled the pain! Had quite a bit of bleeding yesterday and had to keep gauze in my mouth to absorb the blood, but today the bleeding is pretty much gone! Not a lot of swelling either. Now I just have a mouth full of stitches that will take about two weeks to dissolve. The surgeon says it will take 4-6 weeks for the gums to completely heal so I can get my new toofies!

Great to hear it's all going so well! You'll have toofies back before you know it.

I hope it went well!
I’ve got to say, regardless of what happens to you, whether it’s medical issues or getting trolled on this site, you always have a great attitude towards everything. I may not know you but I hope to always have an attitude as good as yours!

You ridge keeps lower from sliding around and suction on upper. There are a lot of people need adhesive to keep upper in place.

I got "store bought" teeth about 8 years ago. Full set, uppers and lowers.
The uppers stay in well. The lowers I have to "glue" in daily.
As a matter of fact, I'm getting new lowers next week.
I hadn't used enough adhesive, and a piece of sausage from a slice of pizza got underneath and caused them to break!
Luckily, they make a 2 part epoxy for dentures. I've had to repair them 2 or 3 times and decided to just go ahead and get a new set.
I'll hang onto these. Just in case!

Just wanted to give you an update. I am one week into this ordeal and go back to the oral surgeon today for a followup.
Last Wednesday they put me to sleep (general anesthesia) and pulled or cut out a total of 29 teeth. I will be waiting 4-6 weeks for my mouth to completely heal before getting the new dentures. It has definitely not been a fun trip but has not been as bad as I expected. The first few days I was taking three 10 mg. Percocet pain pills each day which did a good job of keeping it under control. I'm down to 1-2 per day now. My face looks like someone beat the snot out of me!
Been on total liquid diet, SlimFast shakes and root beer floats, and haven't starved yet!
The jury's still out but looks like I may make it yet!
