Yep, read that this morning. A classic case of "here, hold my beer.... watch this"
A Darwin Award top contender for sure.

No whistle needed, they're taking themselves out of the gene pool.
Not unlike training the gang bangers to shoot straighter.

According to this morning's story, the guy (a Disneyworld employee on home leave) was fooing around with the firework on his head and lighting it was an accident. He apparently wasn't recognisable after the incident.

Fireworks on his head- accident -- in my book those two don't match ??

We had a similar (actually identical) incident occur not too far from here, just a day or 2 prior to this guy's "incident". His friends say he saw somebody doing this on youtube, so he thought he'd give it a try. Yes, he had been drinking....
My guess is the Disney employee saw the clip as well. It's quite a stretch to believe he lit it by accident. That may be more about his insurance policy?
It's funny, as the Darwin theory crossed my mind when I heard about both incidents...

.....The mother is calling for stricter laws and safety training for individuals wanting to work with or handle fireworks.....
Really? You need training to know that putting fireworks on your head is not a good idea? Geez...
