Jet Blue 292 perfectly landed at LAX. It's an excellent landing when you can walk away.

That was the most exciting TV I've seen in a long time. Didn't know I could hold my breath that long.
I've been in some tight spots before, but I honestly don't know how I'd handle a situation like that. Three hours is a long time to think. Art

I hope that pilot gets a big bonus. He did an amazing job landing that plane.

I saw that too, that takes practice and experience and skill to get it right, when under pressure and when it really counts.

I was on the edge of my seat. That was the best Reality TV I've watched ever. That pilot is most definitely a hero.

I was wondering why the emergency doors didn't pop open as soon as that plane stopped. Later I learned that they didn't want anyone to be injured getting out of the aircraft.

It was a great landing by the pilot. But hmmm.. if 3 hours were needed to burnoff fuel to reduce weight and make a safe landing, why did'nt they fly to the original destination?

The aircraft needs to make both speed and altitude and with the gear down that's not going to happen.
