I can only report my (76) and DW (79, and she’s good with that) experience. Health insurance rose only by whatever percentage SS rose. We have two different providers, and pay no additional premiums above part A & B.

It totally depends on what coverage you have and what state you’re in. If you are on a Medical Supplement plan and in a state that rates premiums based on age, then you should be able to get that information from your carrier.

If you’re still on a retirement plan from an employer, you need to speak with them. Though typically those plans are negotiated at a set rate with an insurance carrier the company chooses to broker the benefit with.

What plan are you referring to?

My AARP United Healthcare Supplement goes up every year. Usually around the rate of inflation

When I started Medicare just 6 years ago Part B was $165 per month now it's $185

What Chris said. I'm 71, the DW a bit older. Medicare part B goes up every year, our BCBS Plan F supplement goes up every year. Drug coverage is no different, but we get a lot more drugs for 0 cost.

Sorry I should have explained more. I am talking about travel health insurance for snowbirds going south for the winter. Sorry once again the forums have changed and I guess I posted wrong. Thanks Tux.

Not sure what you mean. What forums changed? iRV2 has had the same format since 2010. If you have a question about something that you think changed in the forums, you can ask that in the Forum Concerns section.

Since you're Canadian here is where you would find some information on travel health insurance. Also, just do a Google and there are some companies to look into.
