High Wind Predicted

We are in Kirtland, NM, about 10 miles West of Farmington. National weather, and local weather, predicts high winds with gusts to 60 mph, especially severe on Northwest bound and Southwest bound traffic.

I really had plans that looks like now will have to be modified. It looks like we should stay put here in Kirtland and that may be for 3-4 days unmtil this passes.

Anyone else in this situation?

What are you going to do.

Pull up those boot straps and start the engine and leave early before the winds get high. Didn't you get my email about the forecast.

We bought a Midland NOAA weather radio and use it to when the forecast looks bad.

Ah! Predictions, predictions. Thanks for the link. Nowhere does it state what the local news is stating that gusts up to 60 mph expected.

If Cliff had just emailed me earlier. Hee hee!

how about the NOAA Weather website (link below is for Kirtland, NM):

7-Day Forecast for Latitude 36.74°N and Longitude 108.35°W (Elev. 5222 ft)

all you need to do is go to the main page and enter the city/state or zip code and you'll get 7 day weather.

If you really read thru all of the data there you will find a lot that you hear on the TV news.

This link is a little more definitive to your situation.

Wayne,

I don't know what the heck is going on these days, but we drove up (to SW CO) last week in a hellacious wind almost losing the big slideout awning twice and it still hasn't stopped. I guess having it blow is better than having it suck!
