I have a 1938 two door Oldsmobile that needs a new interior, a 1962 Triumph Tr4 that is my daily summer driver, and a 1975 Triumph Spitfire that needs a new convertible roof.
I have a '79 Triumph Spitfire that was my daily driver for several years until I got too old to drive without A/C in the South. It was moody, but it never left me stranded. It is now in need of restoration. It's hard to divide the time between the cars and the RV. Work gets in the way.
we have a 1976 MG midget that we use as a toad
it has a sign in the back that says " I'm pushing as fast as I can"
Where did you get a base plate for it? I was thinking about to either tow the Triumph TR4 or the Spitfire if I could find a base plate (the Spitfire and the Midget should have the same frame)
Outstanding dj! I'll bet your auto didn't look that fine on the showroom floor. What year? I can imagine the hours of loving labor you have in your automobile. (such a gem cannot be referred to as a car) I had not thought of driving my 32 Chevy in parades, but will make plans to do so now.

Hi from the Great White North! It's only -25 here now. So, when its this cold, our hobby is jeeps, as we can't go too far in the MH.
We have:
1942 Willys MB- Was in France, as it was rebuilt by the French military in 1961. The brass dash plaques are there. Restored
1946 Willys CJ2A- Have owned it for 40 years. Buick V6, overdrive etc. Restored
1946 Willys CJ2A- Just started restoring. In 1000 pieces. Agri jeep when finished.
1946 Willys CJ2A- Next in line for restoration.
1952 Willys M38- Korean jeep. Survivor.
2006 TJ Unlimited- Toad.
And.. for the retired/tired farmers- 1953 JD R -to be restored this winter or at least get it running for tractor pulls.
-1954 JD 60- to be restored winter of 2011/12
The search never ends!
Jeep guy as well. My first vehicle in 1964 (Chamberlain, SD) was a 1946 Willys CJ2A. Had to shovel out the seat in the winter to drive to school. Slug of antifreeze (pepermint snaups) kept me warm on the 3 mile drive. Now have:
1959 FC (Forward Control) 170
1960 FC 170
1961 FC 170
(All needing restoration)
1979 CJ5 (AMC 304)
1983 CJ7
1994 Cherokee Country
2005 Grand Cherokee Limited (Hemi) - TOAD
Don't know that I'll ever get to the restorations. No time now and slowing down after the quad bypass couple years ago. Here's some pictures of the FCs.

When I owned them they were old cars . Now they are classics. I had a 38 Buick Phaeton 4 door convertible .Then a 52 Hillman sedan and convertible. Inherited a 54 MGTF.I guess if I keep my Honda crv long enough it will become a classic.
