We had 3 active years with our 32' Class A and put just over 6000 miles on it, all in Washington and Oregon. The last year, gas had climbed to $4.50/gal, so it was used that season as a guest house. It was our 50th wedding anniversary in August that year and we had a lot of visitors.
After things had calmed down, we took a serious review of our RV life and decided the cost wasn't worth it, as we were tapping an IRA for almost every trip. We sold it on consignment with a local dealer - BIG mistake.
We enjoyed the lifestyle but not the cost of it.
