How's the summer going?

I've been volunteering in Mankato, MN since June 1 and am finally at my 2016 Big Adventure spot--the MN Lake Superior waterfalls! Weather has been perfect, 70s, scenery is gorgeous, and my waterfall video sound is soothing. For a native CA, all this water and lushness is amazing. Tomorrow and Friday I'm seeing Duluth, the weekend is St. Paul, then south to Madison, WI. If I wasn't still dealing with repairs from a sideswipe hit-and-run....but it's been a good summer so far.

It's been a long time since we've visited here. This has been a rough season. We started out in April with expectations of spending 4 months out west. However, we were in an accident on the I-40 in Knoxville that totalled our rv. Fortunately our insurance was very good to us & we were soon able to replace it. We bought a 2004 gas model Newmar Mountain Aire. LOVE IT! We headed back out west to attend our grandson's high school graduation, the birth of our new granddaughter & a 50th birthday celebration. We made it to Wyoming but had to turn around due to mechanical problems. It has been at the dealership for repairs. We will be picking it up tomorrow!!! Not willing to give up, we'll be back on the road in early August! We're headed to Prince Edward Island, then down the New England coast. We'll wrap up the season by visiting family in North Carolina & Tennessee. Not what we expected but still a great time. Wishing very one good health & safe travels.

DW just got a liver transplant on the 5th. That pretty much takes us out of camping for this year and part of next.
