I didn't know this

The other day after I stopped a Class A that had their antenna, batwing, up I was told that they usually put the antenna down but since they were only going for fuel it was ok to leave it up.

You learn something new every day.

It's ok until you find that low tree limb.

Or that pesky flying seagull or hawk that hits it hard enough to knock it or bend it up.

Perhaps you just didn't realize, that was their GPS antennae, not the OTA.

Once tried to tell a lady in a local truck stop/RV fuel area that her antenna was up and she would not look at nor even talk to me. I was in the next lane pumping diesel. Finally I spotted a fellow headed our direction from the office and asked him if that was his MH. He answered that it was and I pointed out the antenna just clearing the canopy and told him I tried to tell the lady inside, but she didn't understand. He laughed about that and thanked me. I know I look pretty rough sometimes but didn't realize I scared anyone.

That's embarrassing. I did that once, but some other campers caught me before I got of the campground.

I hang the ignition key from the antenna crank whenever the antenna is up. Don't hang it other times. That reminds me to crank it down before I crank up the coach.

I did it once. We were heading west in the morning and I saw this strange shadow in front of me.
