At a boat ramp at Orwood (Ca) they have set up bleachers. No charge yet but great entertainment.

+2 on the boat ramps! My favorite was the guy who launched his boat without someone holding onto the line.
"I thought YOU had it!"
More fun than watching a Mel Brooks movie!

Hope the water wasn't too cold. My first bass boat was an old Glastron. The plug was actually in the sump area in the back - if ya forgot the plug you could run the bow up and drain it and stick the plug in without getting wet. Not so with the next. Took the plug plunge once. Fortunately it was summer in Texas. Doh!

We were launching our 23 footer one day...DW back it down, I back the boat out and she parks the trailer. DW has done this before, many times.

She notices a bronco II recovering a bass boat across the finger pier from us. Comments that he may have backed down a bit deep. He says what does she know, just a woman...he should have listened.

Not only does he back off the edge of the concrete ramp but he forgot to untie a stern line still attached to the dock. While he thought he was winching the boat up onto the trailer, he was actually winching the trailer and truck down under the stationary boat....

Never knew a bronco II could float....for a little while at least.

We were at a CG in the panhandle of Idaho and as a 5-er went by on his way out of the park I noticed the deer-fencing on the other side of the interior road was falling down as he moved. Turned out he had left his main awning out and it was "sweeping" the fence down; lucky for him the posts weren't very thick!

Later that day I spoke to the CG owner in case she was wondering why the fence was down. She replied that yes, she knew because the 5er's owner had called, but that she felt badly for him because his day got a lot worse after he left.

Apparently, later in the day he was stopped on the side of a road with a flat tire waiting for Coachnet to show up when a highway patrol officer told him he would need to pull completely off the road. So he did, promptly tipping over his RV into a drainage ditch! Talk about needing a "Groundhog's Day" chance to replay his day!

Local Pub has a deck overlooking a boat ramp / marina, big signs about heckling , those trying to launch. Sign on the ramp about use of " foul language ".
