I wonder if i had a mini stroke or not

Yesterday when i was messing with this outside plug i was installing i kept going in the trailer to cool off every few min as i didnt want to get all sweaty in the humidity here in Texas.

Anyway i am accustomed to anxiety attacks and have them quite often, its just one of those things i deal with, they only last about a half hour and any meds i would take for them take 30-45 min to work so i just deal with them best i can with no meds.

But yesterday was different for some reason, i felt one coming on so i went inside and sat down with some cold water and a fan on me because during the attacks i sweat alot. Then all of a sudden i began crying i couldnt help it i just let go and cried big time. All of a sudden my whole face went numb/tingly like pins and needles all over my face. I have never ever experienced that feeling before, it kinda freaked me out.

So i told myself to stop crying and told myself to just kick back in the chair and relax and i drank more water.

Later that day i checked web md and some other places online and they seemed to come back with either stroke or mini stroke as the cause for the face issue. I half expected to see other stuff like dehydration, medicine side effect, allergy, stress, and a number of other results. But nope it just came back with two choices, stroke or mini stroke.

So now im worried, i was depressed this morning but slept it off and then did my laundry this afternoon. But even though i feel better now i know that strokes are nothing to mess with. But i just dont know if the face deal really means stroke or not.

I will schedule an appointment here tomorrow for asap but i know last time i called here they said they were like 30 days before i could get in.

Good you are going to see a doc. That is something not to take lightly. I live with someone that has depression, and that never happened. Take care and please be careful.

You might consider going to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Baby aspirin as soon as you feel the effects could help but also do no harm

If you even half-way suspect stroke, and it seems you do, put away the computer and go to urgent care or an emergency room. Whatever this was could easily be a precursor of something else.

Here is a link to a site that may give you a little more info.

Anxiety and Numbness - A Typical Reaction

You could go to an immediate care or emergency room if you are concerned or if there are additional symptoms.

Let us know how you are doing.

I googled "pins and needle sensation on face after crying" and several web sites sight these as symptoms of anxiety. This is not medical advice just info found on Google. See a doctor!

Yes! Couple years back, I had pain all the way around my middle below the chest, went to the ER on Sunday night and diagnosed with cancer the following Friday. Glad I went right away. Good to go now though!

I wonder if i had a mini stroke or not

As my neurologist friend said to my Mom "the mini stroke is a warning. The next one puts you in a wheelchair and a diaper." Don't temp fate. Go to a doctor or the ER.

Durango Dave, I hope you'll be seeing your regular doctor in the morning. Hope this turns out to be nothing to worry about. My Dad had a couple of mini strokes during his later years, but quick medical attention made sure that he didn't suffer any significant problems from those.
