I'll brag too. Grandson & dog at Jr. Nationals

My 8 year grandson and his 10 year old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever have been competing in dog agility trials. Eric is new at the sport, but Tug has been at it since just after Erick was born.

This year, they have been doing quite well. About 3 months ago, They received a notification that they are the 127th ranked jr. pair, and were invited to Junior Nationals. They arrived with few expectations. Eric is a little young, even for Juniors, and Tug is developing arthritis.

Astonishingly, they placed 4th overall, and 2nd in Tug's height class. I would imagine that there were a lot of competitors who were somewhat upset to have been beaten by an 8 year old. Especially considering that the handler who finished in 3rd place was 15 years old, while the 2nd and 1st place finishers were both 17.
