Incredible Osprey Video (Short)

we had a house in pensacola that nestled up to a large state land area
we had one of these large critters alight on the the house very often
would give you pause when it took off as you walked around the back yard
the park rangers said it was because our house was high and probably allowed the bird to see the forest better,....
who knows but she/he was very nice to watch fly

The scene where the Osprey nails the flounder was done from a tank. A little misleading but it does give you an idea of how they hunt.

We have a few Ospreys on our property in Maine and have noticed that they can also be fantastic thieves. They just wait until a cormorant surfaces with a fish and they quickly relieve them of their dinner.

Awesome video. I've never seen an osprey in the wild like this, but once witnessed an eagle catch a large fish from the Clark Fork River while vacationing in Montana. it was an amazing experience.
