Inexpensive wire feed welder recommendation

We do a lot of boondocking and off roading so I carry an 80 amp wire flux welder.
It's too small even for around the house.

Not sure if a 130A will be much better especially on 115volt but it won't break the bank.

I like this one since it's dual voltage. I do have a 220volt outlet at home.
You can also use sticks and I've welded with those too.
I probably won't get gas bottles and gauges but at least it has the option.

I would check out EASTWOOD.com for any low cost welder. They offer MIG,TIG, and multi-welders any where from $350 and up.

I run an Eastwood TIG in my professional auto restoration shop and it’s bern doing great for almost four years now. I wouldn’t hesitate to grab one of their MIG machines if I needed one.

I would check on how thick of steel it will weld and decide if it meets your needs.

I have a Hobart 190 works great for any thickness that I need. got it at tractor supply. I can't tig to save my life so didn't have to have that option. Miller and Lincoln both are very good as well. a lot of the upper end brands come set up to use gas if needed. really depends on how much you will really use it to justify the cost of the name brands. I have heard pretty good things on harbor freight new welders they have now.
One of guys I wheel with has a DC stick that he can run off the battery. I am just going get a cheap 90 or 100 amp to put in the motorhome for wheeling trips. just make sure you can get parts if you need them. most all consumables will interchange, liners, tips, ect...

I use a Century (Lincoln) FC90 flux core wire feed. It's an inverter DC welder, not an AC transformer. Small, portable, and lightweight at about 15 pounds. Welds 1/4" with .035 wire. Around $200.

I have that welder also. I can't say enough good things about it. In fact I just used it on my motorhome 2 weeks ago to replace a rusted windshield flange. It would have cost me $700 and a 2 week wait to have a body shop do it. The only negative is it is 30% duty cycle at 80 amps. Great for small jobs and repairs but you won't be building bridges with it.

I have an Eastwood MIG-175 that I bought in a package deal 5 years ago and it is STILL brand new, fully assembled and NEVER even been plugged in. I won't bore you with details of why, but I would entertain a reasonable offer for the complete rig including auto darkening mask and cart. Included is all the "stuff" for gas and an aluminum wire spool gun as well.

Nothing has been used.
