Japanese seasoned folk facing the nuclear cleanup

I was moved at hearing of this newsbyte, and posted on my blog as well. Can check out the article here BBC News - Japan pensioners volunteer to tackle nuclear crisis
basically to sum up, over 200 'elderly' are facing the risks of nuclear cleanup in Japan, saying that due to their age, its the practical thing to do since cancer would generally take some time to develop anyway and they wouldnt have as much "time" to let it develop.
They may say its practical, but I see it as self-less and brave, they're surely thinking of their future generations as they face that radiation head-on.

The Japanese people are in a class all by themselves. They are a proud race, and unselfishly look after each other.
