Got word yesterday that the DW has been approved by the OHSU transplant committee for further testing for the liver transplant list. Chemoembolization is scheduled for Aug 7th.

The love and compassion we share one for another is truly a blessing. Friends became more precious as we age!!!

Now we find that our insurance (CIGNA) doesn't work with OHSU for liver transplants. They go through someplace in Seattle!
So, rather than a 15 miles drive for a possible transplant we have to go 200 miles!! That will certainly complicate getting there in time!

Had my kidney transplant on Tuesday, the 18th. Kidney started working immediately!!! No more dialysis treatments needed!!! My donor was discharged Wednesday and I was discharged Thursday. Now it's time to fully recover, regain my strength and stamina.
Haven't RV'd since Spring of 2013. A goal I have is to go Rv'ing, in some manner, Spring of 2016.

Great!!!
Wish they could do that for livers like my wife needs. Since you only have one liver someone has to die with the correct blood type (B+ in her case).
