THANKS EVERYONE!!

This ain't my first rodeo and learned long time ago.....control what you can and don't sweat the small stuff.
Hit the dirt...get back up, dust off and ride 'em again

Appreciate the prayers and thoughts.
It does help.......

Think I'll start out tomorrow morning with a Strawberry Smoothie!

Best of luck to you, OB. I also enjoy reading your posts and learning from your experience ( however, this is one experience I think I’d rather pass on).

May your surgeon wake up sober tomorrow!!

Hoping the next 3 to 4 months passes quickly for you Byron, that the upcoming reconnection is a breeze with great news upon waking up, and you soon enjoy Fillet Mignon again. Your attitude about it all is admirable.

Positive thoughts and wishes sent your way. SD.

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery, O-B. Toasting your success in advance with my evening beverage!

The day of big meals - I think I'd have to split that up over a couple of days or I'd be hearing my arteries slam shut. That menu is yummy!

Old Biscuit, we've never met--but someday I hope we can shake hands and raise a glass. Mend quickly......

Well is Day 4 of my 'Special Diet'

Fruit/protein/skim milk smoothie for Breakfast is pretty good

Protein Smoothie for Lunch-----OK but not very filling or long lasting

4 oz of lean meat and 1 cup of vegetables for Dinner.......tastes good/look forward to it but it sure doesn't 'satisfy'

Oh well....in 10 days I go on Clear Liquids only so I will long for the smoothies/lean meat diet

I just said a prayer for a successful surgery and a full recovery. If I don't do it immediately I tend to forget. May the Good Lord keep you in the palm of his hand!

March on Old-Biscuit!!! Keep your eyes on the prize (i.e. the next charcoal grilled ribeye!!). You’ve sure had your hands full.
Peaceful thoughts and prayers heading your way.

Today is day 6 of this highly modified diet
So far have lost 8.5#

I can see why........a doggy couldn't sustain life on this diet plan

Two 8oz smoothies and 4oz of lean meat is NOT much
Smoothies make me 'burp' and that 4oz dinner is gone in a few bites

And I am WEAK.......have to do chores right after the smoothies so I have some energy but it wains quickly

And to think in just 8 days I'll be looking back at that 4oz dinner as a feast
(Clear liquids starting day before and probably 4 days after surgery)

Man do I miss Popcorn!

I assume you'll be asking for an updated parts list and assembly diagram when they're done? I'm told those can be valuable.

(Good luck!)
