Do any of you ever look to see who else is on-line when you're on? I'm just curious to know if anyone else is like me & reads all the names at the top to see who else is on & possibly posting at the same time? I even look to see who's in a particular forum when I'm in it. Maybe I'm just being nosey, but I like to see who's on when I'm on.

I enjoy doing the same thing. It means a lot more to me now after attending the National Rally. I got acquainted with some really great people and Madame Boomer was one of them.

I usually glance through the list to see who turns up regularly. I guess I want to know if I'm the only geek who has nothing better to do than hang out in forums. (Just Kidding).

I see I'm not the only one who likes to see who else is on the boards! I always look to see who else is crazy enough to be online at 5am!!!
I think of iRV2.com as a family site and you want to know what your family is doing at any given hour..especially if they are far away! Somehow...just knowing that you both are online at the same time brings you a little closer to that special person.
I know for a fact that something special happens at National Rallies...not sure what to call it, but a bond is formed among the attendees. I first met Tommy and Gayle (Sunny) at the 03 National in Nashville. I'd seen his posts off and on for years and looked forward to meeting him "face to face" - to put a face to the posts I read each day. From that moment forward, a bond was formed even though we're a good distance apart...I still feel close to them when I read a post.
This is what makes iRV2.com special FAR AND ABOVE any other rv'ing website...we're not just posters...we're friends who look forward to seeing each other every year at a FAMILY REUNION...aka known as National Rally!
This year I was honored to spend some time with Petro...another family member added!!!

Not only do I enjoy seeing who is online, I enjoy reading the "time stamp" to see what time they posted....RV Roamer, for instance is an early riser here in the east and most of his posts are waaaay early....
If anyone has an iRV2 t-shirt you'll notice the slogan on the back: "Makin' friends, goin' places and havin' fun".
EVERY get together I've been to so far as a member of iRV2, EsPECIALLY the National Rally has held that slogan to be true...
As a co-owner of this site, my favorite area to check is the number of "guests" online...
I'm doing everything I can to make those "guests" turn into members....
I know with all the great posts from members like yourselves, you are too!!

rebelsbeach,
Have you considered adding a counter to the line showing "members, guests" to show total of members? I often check the counters on sites to see how many people have been there. It might tantalize guests to sign up to be counted.

Registered Members: 20090 is entrenched on the bottom of the main forum page...
There are currently 71 member(s) and 241 guest(s) on the forums. is what is atop the listing of members online...
Whether or not we could move the total membership number would possibly be something to look into...
