Miami Boat Show
For anyone interested in the boat version of the Tampa RV Super-show, the largest boat show in the US is next week, February 15-19 in Miami, FL.
The Miami boat show is always a pleasurable experience and is definitely worth seeing. I just wanted to pass this along in case anyone was interested.

I’ll bet that show would be a blast. Is it in the water also? Or just land based?
Our Houston Boat Show, which features RV’s also, wrapped up about 10 days ago. A second boat show is usually held in Clear Lake, Texas in the summer. That one is in the water and if your looking for a boat, it is exciting.

And, then there is the Annapolis Boat Show for those sailors among us. In October each year.
We bought 2 boats there.

Where do they hold it in Annapolis? I was stationed there back in the 60's when I was in the Navy.
Just curious if they held near the Severn River and also did they sell Crab Cake sandwiches there? They were the BEST ever!

Right downtown Annapolis, and next to the Naval Academy. Very nice location:

The Miami show is massive. It actually takes place in 6 venues for both in water and land including the convention center. It’s easy to feel very poor there…LOL.

Actually, the Annapolis show is 2 shows back to back. They have the sailboat show and then a week later have the power boat show. Annapolis shows are much smaller than the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale shows but still fun. Get some good deals at Annapolis and once made an impulse boat purchase on my way out. It was actually the wife that noticed it and pulled me over to it.

Another good show in the area but much smaller is the wooden boat show in St Michaels MD. Chris Crafts everywhere.
You can easily do Annapolis and St Michaels on the same trip.

Sure enough the British launched a cannon barrage from their ships into the Forrest thinking they were hitting the town. A stray shot did hit a building and that cannon ball remains lodged in that building today.

I have seen some videos from this show in past years and it looks pretty fun. I know it has been moving around the area but it usually along the intercoastal in Miami.
To be honest, that wooden boat show sounds like more fun.
