Perhaps, but when everything is integrated and speaks a propitiatory protocol that is easier said than done.

Yes agreed, that would be a challenge to say the least. A very invasive task to refurbish from scratch too.

Before we bought our current fiver, I recall looking at some campers and the flabbergasted look we got from salesperson when we said "no thanks" we wont consider any camper with this new (insert whatever) 'improvement'.

Hydronic heating systems are nice while they work. When something goes wrong you have no hot water and no heating for the RV.
Never had any problem in many years with the pilot light water heater and the separate propane furnace. Now two breakdowns in 4 years with the hot water hydronic, no hot dish washing water or shower water.

Sooo true. I just sold a rig and that was a major reason. Just junk.

Well I have to be the odd one
The only new feature on the Tuscany I wouldn't have added is the dish washer
All the other features are used each day and enjoyed
We don't have the multiplex and glad of that

Most of our fancy improvements were installed by us after purchase. We picked the Arctic Fox 22G for its basic solid construction not fluff.
We installed 1440 watts solar power, 400 amp-hour LiFePO4 batteries, 2200 pure sine wave inverter, 12 volt DC compressor fridge, Coleman Mach 1 PowerSaver air conditioner, 40 inch TV, WIFI, cellular boaster system, upgraded audio amplifiers and speakers. The stuff works great and we understand how it works and it is reliable and useful to us. I hope to keep the trailer until we are too old to enjoy it anymore.

X2
That’s what happened to our Essex. Spent several years getting everything disconnected from the electric control system since it was no longer in business or supported. Breakdowns were time consuming and very expensive. Made me rethink the keep it simple principle.
Enjoy the journey

One item that seems awesome and is currently on some high end couches is a 360 top view camera system. I predict this feature will be on most motorhomes in 5 years.

I would go with a non-residential fridge and less centralized electronic management.
