Nascar Driver Coach pull off tires

I remember an article about Nascar drivers being required to pull off the Michelin tires that come on their new coaches each year and replace with Good Year tires which of course is used in all the races.

This is done, to the best of my memory, in Daytona each year. I also remember that someone posted the business that purchased these Michelin tires and offered them for resale. The problem is my short memory, due to old age.

Does anyone know what the name of the business that sells these tires. I have a friend that is wishing to replace his tires in the next year or so and I cannot find it through the search function.

Thanks...burfurd

I was in the NASCAR business for 5 years in the early 2000's and was at Daytona every year. I often parked in the drivers/owners compounds with my coach. I never heard of something like that happening.

I heard that they are only allowed to have Coke & Bud Light in their Coaches.
Not sure that is true.

If you saw that info on the Internet, it has to be true!
