Really enjoyed that museum, including the observation deck on the roof watching the Blue Angels training. We stayed a few days at the Ft. Pickens CG across the water and had daily air shows. Very nice location.

You need to have a service connected disability

You must go to the visitors center and show your VA card with the note "Service Connected" to get a pass.

Restriction is to enter the Naval Air Station-- "In order to visit the Museum, Department of the Navy requires a valid Department of Defense (DoD) ID card for any visitors to access NAS Pensacola. DoD ID card holders are allowed to escort up to 15 guests (limited to 2 vehicles) onto NAS Pensacola and to visit the Museum. Holders of a Veteran Health Identification Card that notes a service-connected disability may also access the air station and visit the museum."

years ago, Jimmy Buffet did a fund raiser concert in the museum for 500 people, it was awesome wondering the museum listening to music while enjoying a cheeseburger and Shark Fin!
Fort Pickens is a great place to watch Blues practice, just go early to avoid traffic. They fly almost every Tuesday and Wednesday lately.
