Have you ever seen how HUGE the moon is when it's at the horizon compared to how small it is when overhead? That's an optical illusion. What you see here is simple fakery (is that a word?) and the splicing of 2 unrelated photos together. The moon was shot (somewhere) with a telephoto lens and the sunset is just a sunset. The 2 together makes a stunning picture which we can all appreciate but it's not an event that ever actually happened.

Lighten up Bill. Surreal means dreamlike, if you think dreamlike is real I not only have a phrase for you I also have a diagnosis.
