Opti-switch - what is it for?

Controls TV power outlet so that outlet is dead when engine is running.

I believe those are commonly used to remove power from a TV set when the engine is running.

An observation: the label indicates that the coil is rated at 930 Mw at 12V - conventional nomenclature is that the uppercase letter "M" is used to indicate "Mega" while the lowercase "m" is used for "milli". So, taking this label at face value the coil seems to be rated for 930 megawatts - I don't think so!

If the TV is visible from the driver's seat then it is illegal for it to be operational when the vehicle is in motion.
