Phonak hearing aids and com pilot

Anyone else have Phonak hearing aids and the com pilot, TV link S?

I have the com pilot Bluetooth paired with my cell phone and it works great. The only gripe I have is the constant notifications. Everything you do on the phone causes it to play the little jingle and announce the name of the device. I know it's connected to the phone, no need to remind me every 2 seconds. Is there a way to turn off the notifications?

I would call my provider but they then want you to come in and drive you crazy with calls and mail. It's to the point where I am considering telling them I moved out of state then join Costco for the next pair.

BTW I have a call in to Phonak but of course a human can't answer and they will call me back within 2 business days. That should put me at about Tuesday.

No knowledge of the Phonak Com Pilot but you may find info here: Phonak

Not affiliated with Costco in any way but I feel I should share:

I have the Costco version (KS6) of the Resound Linx. My iPhone streams directly to my hearing aids without the use of an external device. I also have a bluetooth TV streamer/remote mic. If programming changes are required I can use any Costco hearing aid center across the country.

I have been wearing hearing aids for 40 years and can vouch for the good performance of the Costco Kirkland Signature model.

Open app on phone.

Go to settings (gear cog in upper left corner)

Go to Streamer Configuration

Go to voice alerts

Change "Level of Detail" to Standard, or warning only.

Bought mine at Costco because I can get service nation wide. Working great so far. I don't use the phone app even though I have it installed. I do like the lap top and TV sound connection. No more "What did they say" resulting in the "Get a hearing aid" from the DW. Now if they would come up with a magic devise for some other issues...

I have the same setup. You can go most any Audiologist and they can re-program them to where you only get notifications for incoming calls. I put up with that about 2 days before i had mine re-programed. Now mine will notify me only of incoming phone calls and text messages. No more false notifications or telling me what I have.

Yes, the Phonak App. Mine is Apple, so may be a little different.

I got the app but it is for Com Pilot II or Com Pilot II air. Mine is just a Com Pilot. Too bad, it is a cool app and would be very handy. Thanks anyway.
