It sure wasn't from posting welcomes to every new member.
It's actually from spreading the knowledge I have learned on this forum and from threads that go

- Check the rest of the sender's domain name (the part after the @ symbol). People will try to fool you with a legit company name. Instead of sending from support@paypal.com they are sending from support@pay-pall.com or something similar.
- If you are uncertain, and there are links in the email, do not click on them. Depending on your email client (I use Mozilla Thunderbird), you can simply hover over a link and in the bottom left corner it shows you the actual path/url. You may think you are clicking on www.paypal.com when you're really clicking on www.sdgjhsgdjshgf.yt/scam/hacker/fsjhgfjshdg. Clearly spam.
- In a lot of cases, the grammar and punctuation are so terrible that there's no way it can be a legit email.
- And do not open any attachments if you think it's spam.
Hope this helps!

Good information Thanks.
I just did the hover thing and all links said the same thing.
This is what they said: aclcinema.com/wp-admin/hdtvamazon.html
