Flipping baseball cards!! I miss that! I also traded stationary, and played with dolls until I was 11 or 12.

Anyone remember the controversial "Joey Stivik" doll? My mother wouldn't let me play with one little girl that had one. Now my 5th grader saw a sex-ed/puberty movie.

We also went to the playground and didn't smoke or do drugs there.

One more thing-Marbles. Everyone played marbles and stoop ball.

I taught my kids and their friends how to play marbles, so one kid asked me if that was what we had to play because we didn't have electricity.

How old do these kids think I am?

Don't leave the door ajar (said this to my daughter, she went to school in Germany, just couldn't figure out how a door could be a jar) LOL
Bless her heart.

[QUOTE=Coleman 6;877832..."Cat" used to reference a man...[/QUOTE]

Yet "cat fight" referred to an altercation between women.

My girl friends and I played jacks for hours on end. They were made of metal and hurt "like the dickens" if you stepped on them barefooted. The last set of jacks I saw where made of plastic.

How about advertising slogans?

McDonald's: "Get a hamburger, fries, and a soda, and change back from your dollar"...
