Phrases that are out of date with younger co-workers...

I was speaking to a colleague today about another work team that was having a lot of trouble making a client happy. When I mentioned that they were 'running around like the Keystone Kops' she had NO idea what I was talking about.

Now I'm not old enough to remember silent films but I guess I'm showing my age by knowing about the Keystone Kops.

Any other phrases you use that are outdated?

We are getting as rare as hens teeth.

I still think the older generation is the bees knees though better than the new whippersnappers who are knee high to a grasshopper in experience

Actually I have said some things that were not so old to be met with a blank stare.

One of my favorites is "Walking through these doors are the most important people, Our Customers." Not talking on the cell phone and texting while you are working,

I find that "Hello", "Please", and "Thank you" seem to be the most lost phrases on the youth these days and I'm not that old....
