Users have the ability to ignore specific Users, specific Threads and specific Forums .... I utilize this ability often.

This forum, "Just Conversation" is for anything, not necessarily related to RV's.

I have an image in my mind: we're all sitting around a bonfire at our favorite RV Park, and there are several conversations going on, all at once, some of them actually about RVs. Then somebody pulls in with a brand new RV, gets set up, and joins us around the fire. They listen for a while, then when my wife mentions our grandkids he pipes up with "What does that have to do with RVing?"

I joined this sight to learn and help with what I may. That said, this rv forum is mostly nice, and supposed to be all nice, always will be grumpy people that are downers and sad with there life.
A simple ( have a nice day) turns into an argument, with some people. It's hard to not get sucked into the glass is half empty people.
I think the OP's post were fine.

WYCamper, as the title of this thread says "please read the forum description" The description for the JUST CONVERSATION forum says in big caps ," for NON- RV" subjects so it is a forum where we can talk about things non related to rv's, as a matter of fact talking about rv's on this forum is actually an incorrect subject for this particular forum.

Guys, the issue here is there is no way to easily convey sarcasm or humor on this forum. Emojis don’t always work.

I mentioned this in another thread, that if we all accept a common standard for something said as humor, misunderstandings will disappear. On another forum I frequent, a green font is understood to be a statement meant in humor. If that rule was accepted here, and if Wycamper had typed that in a green font, we would all immediately know he was being funny. Everyone would “get it,” maybe not the joke, but certainly that it was not a comment to be taken seriously.

As before, I believe it’s something to consider. What’s to lose?
