Portable AC

We're taking a 7k+ trip this summer and I'm worried about sweating all night instead of sleeping.
Our 31' Class C has one rooftop unit, but I'd like to find a solution other than running the rooftop constantly as it's getting pretty old.
I'm trying to decide what people who actually use the portables prefer. Looking online at the "Best Portable RV AC" sites it's hard to tell. I'd sure like to hear from anyone with real experience in using the portables.
Thanks for any feedback.

Portable AC

It was over 120° this summer in the low desert of SE NM. Sleeping during the day (I was working nights) was *miserable*. I was able to keep my 24’ TT at a bit under 90 with a 15k BTU rooftop unit. I shouldn’t have put off adding the second roof unit...

I went to Home Depot and bought the biggest portable I could find and routed the exhaust through a side window in the slide. I added a medium sized fan to circulate air to the bed area. It ate up A LOT of my limited floor space but I could at least keep the trailer in the upper 70s.

One issue is power: does your class C have 30A shore power? Two big ACs is a bit of a stretch on 30A...

Dual hose is preferable.
