Possible dumb question on extended service contracts

Anyone know a company that will let us suspend monthly payments on a service contract for 3-6 months while the RV is stored/parked/not in use....and then re-start the process ?

Interesting question.

I would think not, only because we could leave it inactive until something broke.

Then a quick call to activate before going to the shop. Once fixed turn it off again.

I believe service contracts are charged by the year. Your just paying off the amount in monthly payments.

Why would you think a company that is selling a contract would suspend service for the amount of time you don't use the coach?

If your coach is financed, do you suspend payments on it when it is stored?

Unfortunately, it's the unscrupulous practices twinboat mentioned that would cause a company not to offer a suspension option. I've only known of State Farm allowing me to reduce full coverage to comprehensive only while our RV is in storage. They let me drop collision since it's not driven for those 6 months.

Good Sam RV insurance includes that option too.
