Question regarding Conceal/Carry

What do you use as an address when you obtain the C/C license? We have since gone Full Time and our C/C is from our former home state. Do we need to reapply but then with what address?

You will need to obtain a CCW from your 'domicile' state IF they issue them

Your current CCW is invalid IF you are no longer presiding in the state that issued it

So as a FTr ----what IS your 'domicile' state?
DLs, Vehicle Regs, Insurance, Registered Voting...mailing address etc

Your home state will more than likely have agreements with other states.
Go to usa Concealed Carry.com for a list of states where your permit is good.

Multiple states allow you to get a non-resident permit, but beware that not all states recognize non resident permits. For instance, Arizona will allow you to get a non-resident permit, but there are about seven states that would normally honor AZ's permit, but not if it's a non resident permit.

i Thought that was your question. If you are a resident of a State then use that address. IF not then obtain a non-resident permit, realize it may have limits on acceptance.

As has been said, go with your domicile state. Oregon will issue me an ORCHL, but I also have to have a Washington license first as a WA resident, and there are a few other hoops to jump through. Some states won't honor the CHLs from other states if you aren't a resident of that state, so it presents a kind of residency test as to where you should get your first CHL, and then where you might want to pursue others based on various state legislation and any other local regulations around the issue.

This might be the very best site to research the topic: Handgunlaw.us

I got a CCW in AZ when I lived there. When I moved to CA I gave AZ a address change to CA and now have a valid non resident AZ CCW. Several other states have non resident permits. The non resident status does reduce the number of states that will honor the CCW.

Don’t need CCW permit in Missouri. Anybody can carry as long as you are not a felon.

CCW permit are a joke.
You can get multi state 'permits' online with a simple form and fee.

No real background or skills checked. Just a promise.
This I see as a problem.
