I'm reading an amusing book entitled, "Underwear on the Roadside", about a couple that walked across America picking up trash and the things they found along the way. Yep - underwear was the #1 thing. But there were some really neat quotes about traveling that I thought some of you might enjoy and relate to as well. We live a life others envy - we lucky few!!
"I love traveling and travelers. How anyone could not want to explore this incredible world is baffling to me. Those who travel are not only fascinating people, but they are also more excited about this miracle we call Life." Stephen Newman WORLD WALK
"When I was very young and the urge to be someplace else was on me, I was assured by mature pepole that maturity would cure this itch. When years described me as mature, the remedy prescribed was middle age. In my middle age I was assured that greater age would calm my fever and now that I am 58, perhaps senility will do the job." -John Steinbeck, "Travels with Charley"
"The everyday kindness of the back roads more than makes up for the acts of greed in the headlines." - Charles Kurault, "On the Road with Charles Kurault
"Wealth I ask not, hope nor love, not a friend to know me; All I ask, the heavens above, and the road below me." - Robert Louis Stevenson "The Vagabond"
"The world is a book and those that do not travel read only one page." - St. Augustine
"For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move." - Robert Louis Stevenson "Travels with a Donkey"
"Thanks to the Interstate Highway System, it's now possible to travel across the country from coast to coast, without seeing anything." - Charles Kurault
"A journey is a person in itself; no two are alike." John Steinbeck
". . . People don't take trips - trips take people." John Steinbeck
"Adventure is a challenge, a test, a way of stretching your potential. It can't be satisfied by dialing in a superhero on television or organized sports one afternoon every week or so. It has to be found out in the field . " Bob Davenport, director of Wandering Wheels

GraciesMom it is good to see that you are back to your old self after a few rough weeks.
We liked the quotes that you posted.
As we travel across this great country we send 2/3 pictures and comments of our travels to family and friends who can not travel at this time and they all feel as if they are with us.
Make some family and friends happy by doing the same.
