We had a local machine shop and the owner had a great saying.

"The impossible we do right away, miracles take a little longer"

They turned out some amazingly great quality work by the way.

Sign in a clutch rebuild shop 40 years ago. . Labor rate $50 per hour. If you watch, $60. If you help $70. If you tell me how to do it $80 If you worked on it first, $100.
Sign in a truck shop. I didn’t buy it sell it, break it, use it or abuse it. If you would like me to fix it, I can do that.
The bitterness of poor quality remains, long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Did you ever wonder where the term "old fart" came from? Well, I've got a friend that will give you the answer without saying a word! Just walk behind him going up a flight of stairs!

It's scary when the Weatherman is the closest one to telling the truth on the news now!

"Weatherman" is the only job where you can be totally wrong over 1/2 the time and still keep your job.

My dad's favorite term for the local TV weatherperson was "weatherblonde".
