Morning Muteys!

Another fine day on the rainbow indeed! Back to clouds and an occasional light sprinkles of rain today but that won't dampen the spirits of Mutants. We are just like our faithful postmen and women, nothing will keep us from our appointed rounds. Today is "mutants flying thru the trees " day or as as Sena might describe it if she could talk, "a bunch of nuts who wish they were primates" day! None the less, this promises to be another eventful day in the promised land! Love to all my mutant brothers and sisters today and continued prayers for those affected by the horrible tornadoes.

Hey Leslie! We're headed across I-40 on our way back to Seattle for the summer. Maybe we can arrange a mini-c in about 3 weeks? Lily and I'd love to meet ya and your tiny pups. Sena will enjoy meeting you, the dogs -- not so much.

We concur. Through the prodding, poking, planing and mass ponders we have achieved friendship. It took a GC@CL to step it up a notch to extended family.

My youngest son called last night to wish me Happy Birthday but I didn't hear the phone the first time he called so he left a message. Since I talked to him later after getting back to my coach I never listened to the message till this morning.

It went something like this, Ha Dad Happy Birthday, guess your busy playing twister with the old folks!

If he only knew how much fun we old folks are having! If someone had gotten a picture of all of those getting up off floor from the group pic it would have looked like a twister game gone bad! lol

Yes. Easy to gather. Difficult to part (sniff).

A suggestion: how about we each give CL an online review an applaud this fine place and the fine people?

Whatcha think?

Haha!
Tim, it was enough to untangle us all from the group portrait position. If we played Twister, local urgent care would have greatly improved their cash flow!

Last full fledged gathering is tonight

Having experienced this gathering of mutants for the last 5+ days here at beautiful Catherine's Landing in Hot Springs, AR, I have some personal observations that I would like to share.

RV mutants are as nice in person as they are on the threads and posts. Concern for others is so apparent.

Variety is the spice of life and the same is true of our mutants here at CL. Each mutant possesses personal traits that are sometimes the same and sometimes different from the "norm". Each mutant attending this week has been a joy to be around and to converse with.

If you weren't engaged with the "goings on" here at CL, I apologize for the "slight" that you may have felt. Not everyone is a talker or a mixer with others. "Alpha socializers" are easier to engage and folks just gravitate in their direction. I personally look for a very talkative group to set near so I don't have to be responsible for a lot of the dialog.

Mutants are great cooks.

Mutants are great organizers (except for the group picture hallabalo LOL)

Mutants are willing to try new foods.

Mutants call adapt to schedules that are "running behind". hee hee

Mutants have a great sense of humor.

Mutants can dance.

So . . . . . . . . from myself and my DW "thanx" for a great gathering of mutants. If the Lord continues to bless us with good health and the family schedule allows it, WE SHALL RETURN to the next one.

BTW - - - - I really, really did lose the biggest fish hooked. Honest. Truly and verily. No fingers crossed.

Very well said, Steve! I agree with everything....but will not take any credit for the "can dance" bit. That belongs to others; certainly not me.

I am sure you lost a fish that was 19.5 lbs. no doubt about it. But you lost it for Mary Ann

R U an RV Mutant too?

Here is the Luna Moth we saw at the CL pavilion on Sunday night. About 4.5 inches accross.
On the second pic you can see the landing gear!
Nifty, aye?

R U an RV Mutant too?

Here is the tune that Steve wrote last Nov 9th. We were going to refine it but.....

I think y'all should copy it off to use at the next GC. Yes?

We did not have a chance to make it part of the program at this GC, but I think it deserves to be so.

"We Are The Mutants"
Sung to tune of Queens - We Are the Champions

We pay no dues
Have nothin but time
We've done our sentence
Now camp all the time.
And bad mistakes ‒
We've made a few.
Were sewers concerned - it can be a P. U.
We've had our share of crowded campgrounds But no mater what we always come through.

(And the mutants journey on and on, and on, and on) Ah

We are the mutants, my friends,
And we'll keep on rollin 'til the end.
We are the mutants.
We are the mutants.
No time for working
'Cause we are the mutants of the RV world.

We've taken back roads
Highways and all
They brought us journeys on the rainbow and everything that goes with it and
We loved them all.

It's been a bed of roses,
A RV raimbow cruise.
We consider it a lifestyle for the whole mutant race
And we're happy to cruise.

(And the Mutants journey on and on, and on, and on) Ah

We are the mutants, my friends,
And we'll keep on rollin 'til the end.
We are the mutants.
We are the mutants.
No time for working
'Cause we are the mutants of the RV world.

We are the mutants, my friends,
And we'll keep on rollin 'til the end.
We are the mutants.
We are the mutants.
No time for working
'Cause we are the mutants of the RV world.
