She was taken into Emergency the other day. Her heart is failing and it appears, so is her liver. Tests are showing her liver may be cancerous and is enlarged and enflamed. Her heart condition is one, they feel, can be made better through medication. The liver...we don't know yet.

Although she made it through the last operation, it was not without complication and the concern is whether or not she is in any condition to undergo another to deal with the liver.

Hopefully today, she will get an ultrasound to help determine her true condition.

They have assessed her and said that no matter what, she will not be returning to her home. If she makes it through this round, it will mean a care facility.

I fly out tomorrow to see her.

Her name is Theresa and a mention in your prayers would be appreciated.

Prayer, Les, for you all....

I'd be afraid to find out that Miya is related to everyone in Arkansas.

She doesn't take pain meds. they didn't give her any. They did give her some steroids and she took them about 5:30 p.m. when we picked them up at the pharmacy. She couldn't get to sleep. She can't take anything with codeine and she is allergic to Penicillin. Most other pain killers give her some type of reaction.

In all seriousness, I don't take any either. Matter of fact if I need a tooth filled I don't take Novocain or any other substance. I just tell them to start drilling and if it hurts to bad I'll stop them and take the Novocain. I havn't stopped them yet. Someday I'll tell you a funny story of what I pulled on a lady dentist. hee hee! I was in rare form.

Do you Mutants have a stronger preference of one over the other for the doghouse carpet?
We have a strong preference for no carpet, especially with the 80 pound Husky. But even without a pet we would prefer to not have carpet. Earlene want's to get rid of our carpeting.

Hey Les, Ohhmms and prayers your way for your mom.

There's no way I'd have carpet in my rig. Of course I have messy pets.
Barb--I think the carpet is just for the doghouse. The flooring in her pic is what they are installing.

Worried about Mike

Has anyone seen or heard from Dunner? The last post I could find from him was Tuesday about 7:30pm. I emailed him last night and tried to call him this morning.

It's not like him to not answer emails and he's been so sick.

Hey Wayne - ever had a broken hip? Barely enough pain meds in the world for that.

The carpet is for the doghouse...and for the very small area that is left in the bedroom.
The flooring we are going to put down is actually what the carpet pieces are on.

I haven't been able to figure out how to use the flooring to cover the doghouse so it doesn't look a bit "Oakie"

OK ... on the carpet samples. Personally I don't see much variance except the one on the right appears to have taller nap. My cat agrees. Says the thicker the nap the better for sharpening claws.

Then I'd go with the darker one. It will show the least dirt. And you don't want the doghouse to look like an outhouse?

It has been twenty minutes since the "bacon" word was mentioned. I think a tasty recipe might be needed:

Is this a good one?

Yup but our front lawn area and surround flower beds sure have a mauve theme going, that is other than the goldish Iris.

I wonder why the picture of Denise' rescued statue showed up sideways.
