Nifty gizmo, fer shur! Sorry Moonrover, it is a meal for one if there is also baked beans! But nifty gizmo.
We have been prepping and cooking a while too!
Yes, it is that time again, STMs; the dinner brag moment!!!!
Some fried, some baked (it is variety, aye?) rice spring rolls with lean pork sausage, cole slaw, green onions, asian 5-spice, garlic, soy sauce, pepper, ginger. Hoisin sauce at the ready for final garnish!
An OM-NOM balanced diet meal.
Can I get an OH YEAH?

Well look what the cat dragged in, STMs, it's Nissa!
It is so nice to hear from you, young lady. Hope that things are going well for you in Verde Valley. Do you love the Black Truffel, Summer Seasalt as much as we do?

Haha! Funny I would catch you actually using our #1 seasalt, Nissa. Have gone the gauntlet of rain and come out the end of that tunnel yet?

We went today, and on your advice. Earlene had the shrimp and grits, and I had the #(&%)!( (can't remember the name) but it was two fried grit patties one covered with salmon and the other with fried oysters and a rich cream sauce. and a baked potato. A little on the salty side but still very good.
We strolled through the city market, saw those baskets you mentioned, and all I can say is, I would have to have your money to afford any of them. So no, Earlene did not purchase any.
]
They are the most famous place in Charleston..... Bought the cookbook, too. But i do collect cookbooks... As to the baskets,,,, i bought a little one.... They are proud of them.... Then learned how to make my own...... Basket and shrimp and grits, both... Larry still won't eat grits...

Diane is the original SFM........... ( Sliding Finger Mutant, #64) and is retired, duh!

If anyone can make it through the monsoon, Nissa, the AZ native, certainly knows how.

So in this delicious-looking meal, what are the spring roll wrappers? Rice paper? Or ... ? I thought I was going to have to give up those things!
Asian groceries abound in this (nearby) university town. Wrappers should be easy enough to find if I only know what to ask for!
Cheers!
Sue

Ahhh.... a true mutant at heart! A food art afeciendo - you must plan to be at the Son of The First Ever Grande Curiosity at a currently undisclosed location! Mutants run a veritable museum of food art and appreciation - and we're not talking a can of Campbell's Tomato soup!

Steve - still waiting for Annie to come home.... she went shopping today with her sister and niece
