Good Afternoon STMs!

With a little luck the coach will be all fixed up this afternoon and we get back to rainbow surfing for a couple weeks. We will spend a few days in Mackinaw City and visit the Island. After that we will be 9 days in Escanaba, MI for the Newmar International Rally.

However...

It appears that the fall I took a few weeks ago when I was sick has taken its toll on my back so we will head back to Champaign, IL on July 21st for up to 6 weeks of evaluation of my back, therapy and if needed surgery. The surgery is not a given but a possibility.

Don't worry....it will all work out in the end.

It opens up some options for us to attend another IRV2 function in September put together by the Hoots. From there we can work on visiting family in GA and then meander to TX by November.

No one said the rainbow was straight path but we find it is always interesting.

Oh My! Well, as you say and it is so, it will indeed work out in the end. Still, very sorry to hear this Don. We are sending many healing Ommms your way.

Now mutants - learn from this - if you have a 104+ temperature - seek medical attention before you pass out in a fevered state... after all - if the fever don't get ya, the fall will. (And I know a thing or two about falling.... )

All the best Don!

At least Don wasn't sitting in a chair when he fell! Only those of us that know you really know the incident facts. Hee hee!

Don,

So sorry to hear that. Ohhmms and all the other things your way. See you in Texas. We may be sucking up your exhaust fumes and headed to St. Ignace area.

If you can fit it in I highly recommend the Traverse City Michigan, Hotels, Vacations, Lodging - Traverse City Cherry festival. When i lived at the north end of I-75 we would take this festival in every chance we got, usually annually.

You could always see a colorectal surgeon if the back specialist can't find the end.

The rainbow beckons and this Saturday we are headed east. Safe travels Don and Sandee and all the others wandering the length and breadth of NA.

It's that time again! Mystery item identification ...

I don't have the foggiest idea either. These came with my bus, nicely packed in the accessory tool box along with a 20 ton hydraulic jack, road flares, and another mystery item that looks like a crank.

The black steel is heavy 1-1/2" cross section. The bolts don't seem to have much travel to open up the "clamp" more than about 3/4". The nuts are locking type which means they will not easily thread up on the bolt very far. Bus mechanics are baffled too. They never use anything like this as a repair jig for any task.

Harmonic stabilizing weights. Used mainly on the rainbow to keep the dark side down and the light side up. Yep, could have used those just the other day!

Ok, carpet shamPOOed. Bathroom floor cleaned and waxed. Things back to normal, at least normal for a mutant RVer!

First Mary's reaction, you may need to remember that she was out in a boat with 2 of our sons and their families watching 4 yo grandson learn to wake surf. I got him started the day before.(yes I'm proud). So while they were playing, I was getting things ready to leave such as draining the tanks. Her comments were along the line of "poor dear" I should have stayed and helped you.

Now about the blond. What blond. I seemed to have left that out while explaining what happened. Mary don't read this thread so if she finds out I'll know someone squealed on me! The reaction from the blond, ( if there was one) was wow you sure can move fast, everything ok? Yep no problem!

It works lateral, horizontal, or in RVM formation. You know! Anyway but up.

Get used to it.
