Mel.... I drive our 38'dp, not often, but I can... I have not backed it yet, but i used to pull a ski boat behind a bronco, and have driven the small school buses, so i know i can if i want to...... Our toad is a 2 door jeep wrangler which i do hook up on my own...

Will look at your picks in a few, but my must haves were a w/d first...
And a table with real chairs, not a booth.... 2nd (it functions as my desk)

Wish we had a split bathroom, but thats not a big deal, we do not...
Our rv functions without the slide out, just not as much dog run room... 2 westies... Just have to climb over the bed to get to closet...
I do not have a big frig, its ok i cook most things from scratch.... Rather have the pantry.

No matter how much you look online, you will know when you are in it.... Like shoes..

[QUOTE=MPH;2251700]Ok, here's where we stand at this point in time:
#6 we might consider, depending on the extent of the remodeling we'd want to do. I would lose the mirrors. We don't want a rolling casino. If it is still available, I'll drive to AZ next weekend and take a look. We kinda like the floor plan. Here's the link to it: http://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2000-Fleetwood-37-DISCOVERY-112445645

Other than the carpet I think this is one to look at for sure. Due diligence.

Here are some new listings that I'd love to get opinions on:

http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/diesel/2001-Landau-26781.htm No W/D or W/D connections. How important would you guys rate having a W/D on board?

The W/D depends on if you want to babysit laundry in a laundromat. It appears to be maintained. Mechanically, with 100305 mi, I would wonder about the steering and suspension components. Service records might help there. Also the electrical says 50A, not sure if it will work on 30A which is the norm in some older NP CGs. Also says Onan Error. I'd look really close at the genny to see if it works. Could be expensive to repair. Not much about battery or tire condition. Check the date codes on the tires for sure. I wouldn't put it on the top of my list but it's worth a look.

http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/diesel/2000-Discovery-By-Fleetwood-27811.htm

Appears to be maintained. Lots of miles so I would again be concerned about the service records and the condition of the steering and suspension components maintenance items. It appears to have a rear radiator which requires periodic cleaning. There are pluses satelite dish and wiring, w/d combo. Worth a lok and a test drive. Due diligence.

Maybe my new favorite: 2001 Marlin By National RV 370 for Sale - D717 - PPL Motor Homes

Sent you a response on your PM on this one. In addition I like it because it's an 8.3L vs the others apear to be 5.9L Cummins.

I like asking the wait person in a restaurant if they have frog legs. When they reply yes I ask them to hop back to the kitchen and get me a hamburger.

Ooh! Did I say that?

I have only used it a little bit - but I like the Garmin RV760. It is nice to have two profiles set - toad and RV... and I am questioning the CRV GPS after a few routes it has given me. The Garmin has been spot on.
Only if the whole tire knocker package is in the deal....oh wait, I think Earlene would not like that.

Thanks for the info on the 760. I'm looking real close on that one

You swear at anything! I set the Tomtom up for 5 mph over and it gives an obnoxious sound. I'd take it with us on local trips in her car and she'd go mad so I had to turn it off. Darn thing would not shut off, kept up the obnoxious noise. Of course I set the noise sound also.

There's still Alvarado ....
Just my personal preference, but I'd stay away from the 186,000 mile one. Just doesn't sit right with me.

As for a slide out. It really gives you more room to move around. I'd go for at least one in the living area, and possibly one in the BR.

Mel
It's pretty much going to be Garmin, just which one. I have had some replies and I'm leaning to the RV760LMT.
Thanks.

I dont need waypoints! That is like the impulse buy shelf in a grocery. And too much clutter on the screen, me thinks. Just sayin....
I live by impulses. Earlene keeps my wallet in check.

Yep! When we got the 5th wheel, the wheel area was all mine. Now with the MH, the wheel area is still all mine. I did show her how to get me out of the way, turn off the cruise control and pull the yellow knob

We also have a small table and a little red wagon. Had mine before Di had hers so she's the copy cat.

Different subject: Looking for a double din receiver to replace the bedroom receiver, a useless Jensen AWM960. A search on that receiver will give you some results that every one is having the same problem. Power to the unit is lost and no one seems to be able to fix it.

If you know of any one who has salvaged an RV and has such a contraption, tell them to holler at us.

p.s., they cost more than the Garmin and used less.

Felt real famous today, had a gentleman walk up to Mary and I today proclaiming "I know you" turning toward him and his two children I was clueless. He then ask if we hadn't eaten at Hymans Restaurant in downtown Charleston last night. Turned out to have been or waiter, luckily I left a very good tip, not like me, but he was good as was the food. Making it even stranger we were in North Charleston, miles from the downtown area.
