Thanks, everyone, for all the high-fives and congrats!

We're looking forward to those weekend trips that will help us know what all we'll be needing in the coach. All part of the journey ...

Do I have to read back through the thread to find the details on CL for April? or will some kind person tell me what I need to do to sign us up? Do I need to contact the park at CL?

I'm too excited to sleep!!!

Mel

Well, folks, Kate & I will be making the trip to CL in our 2000 Fleetwood Discovery 37G coach! Thanks to Wayne and Earlene for taking the time to drive down to Galveston to look it over thoroughly and giving it a test drive. Out of all the coaches I looked at, this one seemed to be in the best overall condition. It will need 2 new tires right away and will need the other 4 replaced in 1-2 years, according to Wayne and the DOT.

Herb & Barb looked at one in Ft. Worth for us, but it was 2 years older, needed 6 new tires right away and was priced considerably higher than the Galveston coach. I really loved the floor plan on that one (a Discovery 37T), but we like the 37G, too.

We will pick it up Friday, 10-17, at noon. I have already secured a covered storage unit that is only about 2 miles from our home. A friend has her 40' 5th wheel trailer at this storage facility and speaks highly of the owners, who live on site. There is a dump station and power-wash station there.

So, Mutants, we'll be joining you at CL in April! We're jazzed!!!

Mel

Oh what fantastic news! And we get to meet you in person, too! I presume you will be having Open House? Shall we bring gifts...like, things you don't need and prolly don't have room for, like White Elephants? Will you have a gift registry at The Dollar Tree? <chuckle>

Tomorrow, eh? Bet you won't sleep tonight! I am so excited for you and am sure you will love the RV lifestyle. We are not full timers, but when we're in the Bella, it feels like home and just the right place. I wish that for you. Have fun getting it all outfitted to your tastes and needs.

Cheers!
Sue

First you go to the CL website and pick a site you'd like, #s 7-27 and 35-45, realizing that some have already been spoken for, especially right across from the pavilion we will be using.

Uh-oh! Marty beat me to it! Good call, Marty. Why didn't I think of that? Never mind!

So we'll hear more from you as weekends pass, then? Super!

Cheers!
Sue

Hello to Bob. Bet he looked smashing in his fedora with the feather.

Kombucha with green tea is pretty good, BTW, and Lemon Zinger is in the making. Beet kvass I'm not so sure of yet.
