We have an older class a gasser and make several trips during the year from our Lubbock base.
While I am still employed, my wife retired 3 years ago. I look forward to retirement in a few years.
Our motor home does not have a washer dryer, multiple slides, an extra bath but we don't miss them.
It does allow us to load our two spoiled dogs Pete and Moosie.
We've discovered some time ago that the journey is the destination!
You've made the grade and qualify. You will be bestowed your RVM number when I gets you cheque in the mail. Bwahahahaha

Welcome to the fold.

Jne,

We were almost top heavy with texans but being number two has abdicated up to South Dakota it may be passable to have a replacement Texan added to the mix. Of course this rant is coming from 25% of the Kanukistan contingent.

My son was a tiny tot when this happened. He came into our bedroom to say his roof was leaking from the storm. What he should have said most of it was missing.

Well, that ran a cold chill through me! Considering we have a cold front about to blast through... kind of wishing we left today for Texas....

If my mutated and muddled mind is correct (no STM comments, please) you are RVM99 (pending verification of the trusty temps at RVM Central.

Hey RVMs, please WELCOME DCHeck to RVMdom!
Woot!
Dave - I'm pretty sure Badlands was last to join as RV98 but don't know who RVM97 is off the top of my head. If you are 97 - please ring in.

For the moment I agree - DCHeck of Lubbock is RVM99 - LOL...
Welcome aboard.

From where I used to live at (122 Johnston) to where the Fitzgerald went down was a tad over 40 miles. I have never seen winds that strong before in my life.

I hope I never do again.

Been there, went to school there, lived and worked there. Done with that. Nice place to visit.

We just a minute ago escaped into MO...while chewing bacon jerky. Is that good or is it from the frying pan into the fire? Time will tell.

Sikeston tonight? Blytheville? Or better yet: New Madrid again, where we can sleep atop the fault line. 🙀

Did anyone else notice that the fine membership application submitted by DCHeck was their post #1 on IRV2? it would appear that one of our lurkers has joined the fold.

Now all you other lurkers take notice of the advantages associated with coming out of the shadows and becoming an RVM. Come on down.

I tell you, Possum, it's best to look at Texas as the Boot, not the Hat. Then, we are bottom heavy, which is less likely to topple.

My theory is that the early Texans were mostly drifters and RV'n is just the 21st Century trail drive. That's why there's so many Texans on the rainbow. I imagine it'll all be cleared up when the Ropelight Gulch trilogy is published.

RVM2 might have changed his address, but his face is still on wanted posters all over Texas. I reckon he still belongs here.

As to the Kanukistan contingent, there wouldn't be must left if they'd let off the hot air.
